Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez 'unleash the L-word'

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly been spotted lavishing the L-word on each other. The teenage couple were apparently overheard declaring their love for each other during a shopping trip to New York earlier this week. An onlooker in Armani Exchange told PopEater, "Justin and Selena were holding hands as they shopped and said 'I love you' to each other not once, but several times in public. Everyone could hear them. "I guess they want to share their love with the world... Justin's bodyguard wouldn't let anyone get too close to them, but that didn't stop them from showing off their affection for each other. They were just in their own world... dazed and in love." The romance between the pair is said to have got even more serious when Selena, 18, met Bieber's family earlier this month.

Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson were recently dissed by Transformers franchise star Shia LaBeouf. Almost everybody knows that by now. But what many people have forgotten or perhaps never knew is that the Teen Dream's lady-love, Selena Gomez, used to have a huge crush on the loose-lipped Mr. LaBeouf. And she was never shy about making her crush known to the world.

"I don't have a perfect boy," she once gushed in an interview. "I guess they need to be honest and they need to be someone who I can really be myself around. Although, if they look identical to Shia LaBeouf that would be great!"

"If they look identical to Shia LaBeouf, that would be great?" Yuck. In her pre-Biebs days, Selena Gomez had either really bizarre taste in men or extremely bad eyesight.

Anyway, the inevitable question now is, what does Selena think about her old crush, Shia's lame remarks about her current love JB? In an interview in the Italian magazine,Un'Intervista, LaBeouf opined that "it's hard for stars like Justin Bieber not to develop a huge ego because of their level of fame."

"I would not want the worldwide popularity of Robert Pattinson or Justin Bieber," La Beouf lied--er--revealed. "Even if you don't reach those levels, it's hard not to feel at least a little almighty."

If, by now, Shia LeBeouf hasn't ascended to "those levels" of "worldwide popularity" already reached by Bieber and Pattinson, he can relax. It's doubtful that he'll ever have a future as a worldwide heart-throb. Even if he was, back in the day, a crush object for Justin Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez.

And speaking of Selena Gomez, one word: awkward.

Justin Bieber Helps Obama Save Face in NYC | Gather

Justin Bieber has done his duty for the US by making good on President Obama's promise to a teen girl that she would get to meet the pop star. Bieber fulfilled Obama's request with a smile.

President Obama is lucky that the good-natured teen pop singer made good on a promise that the Commander and Chief took the liberty of making without checking with Bieber first.

Last month while the President was a Ground Zero ceremony he met 14 year-old Payton Wall, who lost her father in the tragedy on that day in September a decade ago. Obama learned that Payton was a big Justin Bieber fan and made a promise that he would arrange for the girl to meet her idol, according to TMZ.

Trying to fulfil his promise, Obama had the White House contact Justin that same day to put the plan into action. Bieber agreed and thankfully so, because Obama didn't say he would see what he could do, he promised she would meet Bieber, which was very forward of him to do this without consulting Justin first.

The meeting happened in NYC while Justin was there making the talk show circuit rounds. Wall, along with her sister Avery and a friend, Madison Roberson, got to meet their idol and had pictures taken with him. Wall posted a picture of the foursome on her Facebook page.

The 14 year-old was more nervous about meeting Justin Bieber than she was when meeting the President of the US.

While chances are most celebrities would do this type of favor for the President of the US, but this promise was rather presumptuous of Obama to make without having any idea of what Justin might say.

The girl has faced major tragedy already in her young life by losing her father in the 911 terrorist act, it would have not been fair to disappoint her, if by chance the young singer said "no."

Now Bieber has a favor he can call-in if he ever needs to do so! Making a promise to a girl about meeting her teen idol is one thing. Let's hope the President does not conduct all his business under the premise of making promises first before he knows he can deliver for sure!

The 17-year-old pop star challenged co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck to the contest during his appearance on the ABC talk show earlier today.
